Michael Coyne – Documentary Photographer and Photojournalist
Michael has worked as a photographer for over 35 years, covering significant events in China, Africa, Iran, The Middle East and South-East Asia. His work has been featured in dozens of magazines including National Geographic Magazine, Newsweek, Life, Time, Sports Illustrated and The London Observer. For this work, he has received a number of awards.
There have been 11 books published about his work including his recent publication, VILLAGE Hearing The Grass Grow. Michael has been conducting International Photo Workshops for over twenty years. He also holds a PhD in Documentary Photography.

Sally Kaack – Art Photographer
Sally Kaack is a Melbourne-based emerging photographic artist, creating thought-provoking works that navigate political and social themes through the lens of her personal experiences. Her practice often integrates performative and experimental elements, pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Sally’s work has been exhibited at esteemed venues such as the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, Hillvale Gallery, the Japanese Consulate in Melbourne, and the Centre for Contemporary Photography. Her photography has also featured in publications for Dance Australia Magazine, The Australian Ballet, and The Australian Ballet School.

Kaitlyn Church – Documentary
Kaitlyn is a Melbourne-based visual artist employing photography, video and the archive. Graduating from Photography Studies College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Photography, majoring in Photojournalism, Church later obtained her Master of Art Photography from the same institution in 2021.
Various organisations, including The Australian National Library have collected her work. Her work has also been exhibited at notable venues throughout Melbourne, such as the Centre of Contemporary Photography and the Monash Gallery of Art. In 2022, Kaitlyn was an artist in residence at Platform Arts in Geelong. As a passionate educator, Kaitlyn teaches photo editing and data asset management at Photography Studies College. She has also gained extensive experience as a retoucher and archivist. -
Yask Desai – Documentary
Yask Desai is an independent visual artist and educator based between Melbourne, Australia and New Delhi in India who works primarily with photography but also uses video, archives and text as part of his contemporary photographic practice. His work concerns itself with themes of place and collective and individual identity. Yask has lived, worked, studied and travelled in India across much of his adult life.
From 2022 onwards he has worked with Melbourne’s Photography Studies as both a lecturer in the B.A program and later as a mentor in both the B.A and M.A photography programs. Yask has also established his own artistic practice which has led to his work being displayed in some of the major photography awards in Australia including being a finalist in the Bowness Prize and the National Photographic Portrait Prize.
